Dekton and Poliform – unique kitchen concepts

Recently two world famous manufacturers, from the collaboration of the Spanish COSENTINO and the Italian POLIFORM an innovative concept was born, which reformed the trends of kitchen planning and design.

‘WITH THE COLLABORATION OF DANIEL GERMANI DESIGNS, THE LONG-DREAMED, NEW POLIFORM KITCHEN MERGES MODULARITY AND OUTSTANDING DESIGN WITH ARCHITECTURAL PRECISION – TO WHICH, COSENTINO’S ULTRA COMPACT DEKTON COUNTERTOP IS A DEFINING DETAIL.’

The new concept, taking Poliform’s Alea Plus contemporary kitchen system as a starting point, aims to highlight the significance of the Italian brand’s customizability and the limitless appliances and beneficial properties of the Spanish brand.

Today’s design trends carry out the cladding of kitchen islands’ sides in an effective manner, even with dramatic solutions, however with these methods, functionality is also limited.

The new POLIFORM-DEKTON concept, in opposition, forms two independent geometric volumes, resulting in impressive visual effects, while maximizing functional possibilities. The final result is a sensible, minimalist aesthetic appearance, where both materials (kitchen furniture and countertop) shine just the same.

The kitchen concept possesses impressive measurements. In a kitchen, where the island runs through the space’s whole length, multiple people can work comfortably next to and opposite of each other. Two lengthy islands are covered with one Cosentino’s latest product, the Dekton Chromica Cobalt’s unique sheet, which, stemming from its design, forms the dining space. This dining table serves as a bridge as well for the two main cubes, creating an organic and functional space in the kitchen.

At one end of the island cubes is the sink basin, whereas on the other is the integrated cooktop. Their appearance, besides contributing to the kitchen’s elegant aesthetic, emphasize Dekton’s outstanding physical properties, like its exceptionally high heat resistance.

‘This collaboration with Poliform carries even more possibilities in interior design. It serves as the perfect platform for Dekton Slim’s debut’ – said Massimo Ballucchi, the North American marketing director of Cosentino. ‘With this, architects and designers have the possibility to apply Dekton in new ways – such as coverings for cabinet fronts, in furniture creation and so on. We certainly hope that after seeing the possibilities inspired by the kitchen concept, there will be a reconsideration of how else can this particularly durable material be applied in different projects as well.’

‘POLIFORM AND DEKTON WONDERFULLY COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER, THE COLLABORATION DEMONSTRATES THE CAPABILITIES OF THE TWO BRANDS AND HOW UNIQUE SOLUTIONS CAN BE OFFERED WHILE BUILDING ON EACH OTHER.’

Together, they inspire the creation of spaces where different measurements, materials and specifications pose no obstacles.
